I am a Guatemalan English-Spanish translator with nearly 25 years of experience. I spent the first 15 years working as a program assistant and in-house translator for an international humanitarian agency. Today, I focus on freelance translation, primarily collaborating with non-profit organizations.
I approach every translation with meticulous attention to detail, context-appropriate vocabulary, and thorough revisions to ensure an accurate and polished result in the target language. Whether you need a letter translated or a 300-page manual, I bring the same level of dedication and care to every project.
Alongside my translation work, I discovered a passion for scriptwriting nearly 18 years ago. What began as a hobby, taking courses and writing scripts for fun, became a more serious pursuit in 2016 when I started dedicating more time to this craft. As a sample of my scripts, I recently produced a four-minute short film about a habitually tardy mom who makes up an excuse to avoid paying a late pickup fee at her daughter’s daycare. This short captures the same themes, tone, and essence as the longer scripts I’ve written.

"I am consistently impressed with the quality of Gisele´s work, particularly her translation and writing skills, both in English and in Spanish.
